The Irrigation Research and Extension Committee (IREC) of Southern NSW are hosting a 'Maximising On-Farm Irrigation Profitability Tour' to Narrabri and Moree, from February 7-9 - taking southern irrigators north to see irrigation technologies in action.

The tour will visit: 

  • ACRI/CSIRO research site at Narrabri 
  • Carolan’s ‘Waverley’ property at Wee Waa 
  • Gwydir Valley Irrigators Association field day, Moree 
  • AFFF’s ‘Redmill’ to see the ISLEX Smart Siphon trial 
  • Auscott’s ‘Midkin’ to see the optimised row configuration research trial 
  • Stahmann’s pecan farm, Moree 
  • Plant Breeding Institute (wheat & legumes) at Narrabri 

... and will involve a talk with Keytah's general manager and irrigation manager about the Irrigation System Comparison Trial at Keytah.

Location: Griffith to Narrabri/Moree 
Cost: $330 includes all transport (Griffith to Moree), accommodation (twin share) and meals.
