The Irrigation Research and Extension Committee (IREC) of Southern NSW are hosting a 'Maximising On-Farm Irrigation Profitability Tour' to Narrabri and Moree, from February 7-9 - taking southern irrigators north to see irrigation technologies in action.
The tour will visit:
- ACRI/CSIRO research site at Narrabri
- Carolan’s ‘Waverley’ property at Wee Waa
- Gwydir Valley Irrigators Association field day, Moree
- AFFF’s ‘Redmill’ to see the ISLEX Smart Siphon trial
- Auscott’s ‘Midkin’ to see the optimised row configuration research trial
- Stahmann’s pecan farm, Moree
- Plant Breeding Institute (wheat & legumes) at Narrabri
... and will involve a talk with Keytah's general manager and irrigation manager about the Irrigation System Comparison Trial at Keytah.
Date: 7-9 February 2017
Location: Griffith to Narrabri/Moree
Cost: $330 includes all transport (Griffith to Moree), accommodation (twin share) and meals.
