Watch the recording of the Webinar here: Webinar: CottonInfo & ACDC

Join CottonInfo and the Australian Cotton Disease Collaboration (ACDC) program for a webinar exploring the latest research projects underway this season to minimise the impact of disease in cotton. ACDC is a $13 million research, development and extension initiative funded by CRDC and in partnership with UniSQ and Qld DPI, designed to reduce the impact of diseases on the cotton industry.

This webinar will showcase projects addressing key areas of research including:

  • Systems-based disease control
  • Understanding pathogen behaviour
  • Spatial data analytics and modelling
  • Fungicides and plant defence mediators

Importantly for growers and agronomists, you’ll hear how major diseases of concern such Verticillium wilt, Black root rot, and Fusarium wilt are being investigated through current projects and trials this coming season, with the aim of improving management strategies and reducing disease impact on yield and profitability.

Presenters Sam Periyannan (UniSQ), Linda Smith (QDPI), Susan Maas (CRDC) and Bob Ford (CottonInfo) will offer an overview of ACDC, share insights into trials underway this season and highlight opportunities for industry involvement. The webinar will be facilitated by CottonInfo Technical Lead for Biosecurity and Disease, Sharna Holman. Don’t miss this chance to stay up to date on cotton disease research and discover how you can engage with ACDC.
