This fact sheet outlines how irrigation benchmarking can be used to gauge water use efficiency (WUE) performance. The two key WUE performance indicators are Irrigation Water Use Index (IWUI) and Gross Production Water Use Index (GPWUI).

This fact sheet outlines irrigation benchmarking methods, so that cotton growers can determine a standard calculation of their irrigation performance that can be compared spatially (to another field, another farm, or another region) or over time (season, years).

This booklet was produced for CottonInfo's Cotton Nutrition Tour, which took place in February 2016. CottonInfo took 10 CRDC-funded researchers out to cotton farms in five cotton growing valleys across five days, to deliver the latest outcomes from cotton nutrition research.

This fact sheet, from CottonInfo and myBMP's series of NRM best practice fact sheets, outlines how growers can maintain important habitat features on their farms.

This fact sheet, from CottonInfo and myBMP's series of NRM best practice fact sheets, outlines how growers can maintain wetlands on their farms.

This fact sheet, from CottonInfo and myBMP's series of NRM best practice fact sheets, outlines how to create a farm map.

This fact sheet, from CottonInfo and myBMP's series of NRM best practice fact sheets, outlines what you need to know re whole farm planning.

This fact sheet, from CottonInfo and myBMP's series of NRM best practice fact sheets, outlines the NSW and QLD flora and fauna legislation.

The Smarter Irrigation for Profit project aims to improve the profit of 3,000 cotton, dairy, rice and sugar irrigators by $20,000 - $40,000 per annum, with the support of 16 Research and Development partners and 19 farmer irrigation technology
learning sites.

The Gwydir Valley Irrigators Association (GVIA) is leading an irrigation systems comparisions trial at Moree, comparing the traditional furrow system with bankless channel, lateral move and subsurface drip irrigation. This fact sheet outlines the purpose of the trial.

A water budget needs to be prepared at the beginning of each season to estimate how much cotton can be grown with the available water. A water budget is part of risk management - that is, it helps to reduce the risk of not having enough water to finish a crop.

Irrigation scheduling involves applying the right amount of water, in the right place at the right time in order to maximise production and improve water use efficiency.
