The CSIRO Plant Breeding Team have been conducting their trials on Norwood for 39 years! Warwick Stiller will show you around his 18-19 trials getting some insights as to what’s in the pipeline with our Australian cotton genetics.
Dr Cate Paull, CSIRO and Dr Harry Balcombe, Griffith University are also travelling to Moree to talk to us about their latest research. Their focus is on IPM and natural resource management. Cate will discuss what you can do on your farm to attract beneficial insects and create a landscape that suppresses pests. Harry will discuss how to protect and enhance the riparian areas on your farm.
Dr Jamie Hopkinson, Entomologist, QDAF will also be in attendance. While most of you will know Jamie for his work with insecticide resistance monitoring, he also has a wealth of knowledge of cotton pests and beneficials.
